Term 3 in 3rd & 4th Class
Our final term at school was full of exciting activities and memorable experiences.
We were delighted to complete the puppets we had been creating with artist Shauna Heron. They turned out beautifully, and we were very proud of our work.
Active Week was great fun, with lots of enjoyable activities throughout the week. The highlight for many of us was our trip to the playground in Corkagh Park, where we had a fantastic time.
Drama Night took place on 22nd May and was a huge success. We performed The Wizard of Oz and all our hard work and practice paid off. We gave a wonderful performance and sang our hearts out. It was a night to remember!
Our teacher also read us two more books by Hannah Gold, Finding Bear and The Lone Husky. We thoroughly enjoyed both stories and looked forward to hearing the next chapter each day.
During the term, we enjoyed learning about France and India and discovering more about their cultures and traditions. We got some letters from 3rd & 4th class in Kilcommon National School in Tinahely, Co. Wicklow. We enjoyed getting to know our new penpals.
Dr. Keith Nolan from TUD and Ed tips come in and showed us how to do some coding. We enjoyed learning how to give instructions to make patterns with the lights.
On Wednesday, 3rd June, we went on our school tour to the DCU Sports Centre. We had an amazing day taking part in a wide variety of activities and had lots of fun with our classmates.
We were lucky to have beautiful sunny weather for Sports Day. To help us cool down, we were thrilled to enjoy ice pops during our break.
On Friday, 19th June, we helped to organise the annual Bake Sale with 5th and 6th Class. There were lots of delicious treats on sale, and we were delighted to help raise a fantastic amount of money for charity. It was a very enjoyable event and a great success.
Another exciting addition to our school was the completion of our new playground. We were delighted to have the opportunity to play on it before school finished up and we are looking forward to having even more fun there when we return after the summer holidays.
It has been a wonderful final term, filled with learning, laughter, and special memories.
