Term 1 in 3rd & 4th Class

21st Jan 2026

What a busy and enjoyable first term we had in 3rd and 4th Class! Everyone worked extremely hard, participated enthusiastically and made excellent progress in their learning.

We were delighted to welcome Miss Sharkey into our classroom for four weeks during September and October. During this time, we really enjoyed learning all about the Titanic and exploring its fascinating history.

We took part in Maths Week in September, where we participated in an online quiz, played a variety of maths games and enjoyed lots of hands-on learning activities.

Science Week was another highlight of the term. We carried out many exciting experiments and had great fun designing and creating our own marble runs. The PTA organised a science show for the final day.

In November, we used the iPads to create an E-book about the Ancient Egyptians. Our teacher was very impressed with our work, and we were proud to share our finished projects with our families during Parents Morning.

December was a fun-filled month, packed with art activities, carol singing, Kris Kindle and a very special visit from Santa! We finished the term with our Nativity Service on the final day, where we performed Away in a Manger.

It was a wonderful term full of learning, creativity and celebration!
